Celerity3 was founded in January of 2004 when three individuals came together and combined complementary skill-sets to create an engineering company with a different approach to business services and execution. The word “celerity” means rapidity of motion or action, quickness, swiftness. Celerity is from the Latin word celeritas, whose root, celer, means swift. It is related to “accelerate” and is commonly used in technical and scientific citations. For example, the "c" in Einstein's famous E=mc² equation denotes the celerity of light in free space.

The “3” symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and teamwork committed to by the three co-founders. This solidarity is the foundation upon which the company was created.

Celerity3’s logo is the international symbol for fast forward and is a symbol widely recognized for speed and advancement. The two stylized, slanted triangles are a visual reinforcement of the meaning of Celerity3. Blue was chosen to color the triangles as it is the symbol for loyalty, which is what Celerity3 earns from its clients, offers to its community, and fosters in its employees.
